In the mid 1990’s,
as an adjunct to his Senior Pastoral ministry in the Bay Area, Ed Neuenschwander began to meet with businessmen in San Francisco's
Financial District in close proximity to where they worked to encourage them in the daily expression of their faith. Early
on, these were men of his congregation. However, in time he was introduced to others who desired the same kind of spiritual
support or mentoring that others were receiving.
Corporate Spiritual Consulting was formally
established in 2003 to extend Christian ministry and pastoral care to individuals and companies wanting to honor God in their
business and personal lives. It is a ministry designed to meet people where they spend the substantial portion of their time.
Also it offers assistance to them during prime time rather on evenings and weekends when they’re either spent or in
need of focusing their energies on their spouses and children or other essential responsibilities.
With the formal establishment of this ministry, a new dimension was added in response to a request from within
the corporate community. Thus the focus is no longer limited to individuals within the business community, but includes company
owners and leaders concerned with how their businesses function from a biblical point of view. This added assistance is available
in multiple forms: Meeting with principles to encourage their own faith and broaden their views of doing business God’s
way . . . and praying with them; helping with the evaluation of a firm’s values and business practices; and providing
counsel in difficult personnel matters that require something more than a mere legal treatment.
Whether it is for an individual or a corporation, Corporate Spiritual Consulting exists to stimulate and encourage
the faith of those wanting to honor God both in their business and personal lives.
