Journeys Without Scripts
Dealing with Illness and Other Catastrophic Events
By Ed Neuenschwander and Published by Winepress Group

This book was written for those who, for whatever reason, have had thier lives suddenly turned upside down due to
illness or catastrophe—either of which might be long and severe, where all who are involved find themselves
challenged in knowing what to do, where to turn, and how to handle the wide array of issues that come their way which can’t
be ignored. Journeys Without Scripts offers guidance for individuals and families who need direction with such
tasks as regaining their bearings, choosing an appropriate “backdrop” to fit their experience, anchoring themselves
in time-proven promises, embracing God’s wisdom, understanding one another, and more. In addition to this, it offers
counsel for how to establish priorities in the midst of the accompanying confusion, ways for staying on task, facing a variety
of specific challenges that characteristically present themselves, along with a number of applicable tips that apply to matters
that most tend to face in some fashion amidst any disaster. It’s based on years of pastoral observation and two life-threatening
and extensive cancer episodes that both the author and his wife have personally experienced. This resource is both biblical
and practical. Copyright 2009.
